About the event

Learn traditional songs sung by pilgrims and join in a mini-pilgrimage from Farm Street to Spanish Place singing these songs on the way.

The sessions will be led by Rafael Montero, founder of El Parnaso Hyspano early music ensemble, who has devised a sequence of songs, Pilgrims sang these songs in different times and places, reflecting their experience of pilgrimage. We will use these songs to connect with the experience of pilgrimage in our own lives. 

No prior musical experience is needed, the sessions are open to all. They will be supported by the Young Adults Group of both churches, who welcome anyone who wants to experience this profound shared heritage.

Learning sessions will be on Sunday 4th October (4-6pm Farm Street), Wednesday 14th October (7-9pm Spanish Place).  The final pilgrimage ceremony will be 11am-1pm on Saturday 17th October. To sing in the final session you should have attended at…
